Eight Steps of Massage to Smooth Skin Wrinkles

🔑 Keywords: Other · Acupuncture and Tuina
Massage can enhance skin and muscle elasticity, improve local blood circulation, increase skin luster, and smooth wrinkles—simple and effective. “Time leaves no trace” requires daily consistency. Generally, use the ring finger during massage; only use the middle finger for targeted stimulation.
Step 1: Press and Smooth the Forehead
The forehead is the most prone area for wrinkles. Begin by pressing from bottom to top, then from inner to outer, finally sliding the fingers from the hairline to the temples, pressing firmly on the temple’s cosmetic point. You’ll typically feel mild pain, which helps locate it.
Step 2: Gently Stroke the Eyes
The skin around the eyes is most susceptible to wrinkles and puffiness. Once loose, it’s hard to restore.
Preventing fine lines around the eyes: Use the fingertip of the middle finger to glide slightly outward along the lower eyelid from inner to outer corner. Return with gentle gliding. Repeat three times. Apply the same technique to the upper eyelid.
Preventing fine lines at the outer corners: Press simultaneously from the outer corner toward the temples, 10 times each side, lifting slightly upward during each press.
Step 3: Reverse-Rub the Nose
The area between the nose and eyes is prone to horizontal wrinkles. To stretch the nasal bridge, massage from bottom to top. Finally, pinch the sides of the nose with your fingers and apply pressure. Also, resolve to stop the habit of wrinkling your nose!
Step 4: Circle and Trace the Cheeks
Move fingers upward in a circular motion. First, massage from the jawline to below the ear, then from the mouth corners to the center of the ear, then from around the nose to the temples, followed by sequentially massaging the lower cheeks—3 cm below the eyes, 1 cm beside the nose, and the jawline.
Step 5: Smile and Lift the Lips
Frequent chewing, speaking, and laughing make the corners of the mouth prone to dryness and wrinkles. Prevent sagging.
During massage, lift the corners of the mouth. Use the middle finger to press the Renzhong point, while the other fingers hang down to press the sides of the mouth and the outer jawline.
Step 6: Softly Massage the Jawline<br
