Massage Acupoints to Prevent Colds
1. Rub the Great Fish际.
The Great Fish际 is located beneath the thumb, at the prominent muscle area. Alternate rubbing both hands’ Great Fish际.
2. Press and Rub the Temple Points.
The Temple Points lie about one inch behind the midpoint between the eyebrow tip and outer corner of the eye, in a depression. Use the middle fingers of both hands to massage each temple point.
3. Push and Rub Both Cheeks.
Use the palms to push upward along both cheeks, tracing a "0"-shaped path.
4. Scrape Along the Nasal Sides.
Use both thumbs to scrape downward along the sides of the nose from top to bottom.
5. Press and Rub Yingxiang Point.
The Yingxiang Point lies on either side of the nostrils, within the nasolabial groove, aligned horizontally with the midpoint of the nose. Use the index fingers of both hands to press and rub the Yingxiang Point.
6. Massage Fengchi Point.
The Fengchi Point lies at the junction of the large tendons at the back of the head, level with the earlobes. Use the index and middle fingers together to massage the Fengchi Point.
Notes for Massage:
1. Accurate point location and gentle pressure are essential.
2. Perform twice daily (morning and evening), 30–50 repetitions per session.
3. Trim nails and wash hands thoroughly to prevent bacterial infection.
