Acupuncture Treatment for Epidemic Cerebrospinal Meningitis

Prick Erjian for bloodletting; stimulate other points strongly, retain needles for 15–20 minutes, once or twice daily.
Moxibustion Therapy
Selected Points: Shenshu (CV8), Huiyin (CV1), Yongquan (KI1), Baihui (GV20), Guanyuan (CV4).
Moxibustion is primarily used for collapse syndrome. Use moxa cone suspended over the skin. Each session lasts 20–30 minutes, until the local skin turns slightly red and feels warm. Perform twice daily.
Dermatological Needling Therapy
Target areas: Neck and back along the Governor Vessel and Bladder Meridian. Perform heavy tapping until slight bleeding occurs. After tapping, apply flash cupping. Perform once or twice daily.
