Abdominal Massage Cures Gastrointestinal Disorders
Mr. Wang developed gastrointestinal disorders during his re-education period at Chongming Farm. He frequently suffered from gastrointestinal pain, poor digestion, and irregular bowel movements, alternating between constipation and diarrhea, leaving him pale, emaciated, weak, and in poor health. This condition plagued him for over a decade. To cure it, he tried both traditional Chinese and Western medicines, achieving partial improvement, but symptoms returned immediately after stopping medication.
Inspired by the theory of massage therapy, he began self-massaging his abdomen (gastrointestinal area) daily. After continuous self-massage for one month, he achieved preliminary results: gastrointestinal pain lessened, digestion became smoother, and bowel movements gradually normalized. He was delighted. Thereafter, he maintained a regular routine of abdominal massage, gradually eliminating his original gastrointestinal issues, regaining physical strength, and restoring a healthy complexion.
His massage method: Perform abdominal massage once in the morning upon waking and once before bedtime, either lying down or standing. Relax the entire body, place the palm around the navel, and massage clockwise and counterclockwise for 50 strokes each, starting lightly and gradually increasing pressure, moving slowly at first, then slightly faster.
Massage helps unblock meridians, harmonize qi and blood, strengthen the spleen and stomach, and brings a feeling of comfort and smoothness in the gastrointestinal tract.
