Six Massage Techniques to Eliminate Insomnia
Smooth the forehead: Form both hands into bows, placing the inner side of the second joint of the fingers firmly against the Yintang point. Glide from the center of the eyebrows outward along the forehead, about 40 times.
Palmar Friction on Face: Rub both hands together until warm (apply moisturizer if hands are rough). Press the palms firmly against the forehead and rub downward to the chin, repeating about 10 times.
Press and Rub the Back of the Head: Use the thumb pads of both hands to firmly press and rotate around the Fengchi point, then continue pressing and rubbing the back of the head for about 30 times—until a sense of soreness and fullness is felt.
Massage the Earlobe: The human body’s trunk and internal organs correspond to specific reflex zones on the earlobe. Massaging the earlobe helps regulate overall bodily functions and promotes blood circulation, benefiting health.
Patting the Zusanli Point: This point lies 10 cm lateral to the kneecap (at the junction of the tibia and fibula). Lightly pat until a tingling, aching, or distending sensation is felt.
Soaking Feet on Pebbles: Place small river stones at the bottom of a basin, pour in warm water, and soak feet while stepping on the stones for 20 minutes.
