Toe Movement Enhances Digestive Health
Japanese meridian theory holds that the stomach meridian originates between the second and third toes, ascends along the shinbone, passes through the stomach, and continues upward. Moreover, the original point of the stomach meridian lies at the joints of the toes.
People whose second and third toes are thick and elastic, and who firmly grip the ground when standing, generally have strong digestive systems. Conversely, those with thin, lifeless second and third toes that fail to grip the ground well tend to have weaker digestive functions.
Based on this theory, individuals with weak digestive systems can practice squeezing objects with their second and third toes for 10 minutes daily, or move their toes while sitting or lying down. Over time, digestive function will gradually improve.
