Scalp Massage Improves Circulation
The human brain contains an exceptionally rich and dense network of blood vessels. Regular scalp exercises can promote circulation in this network, benefiting overall health.
For those with high blood pressure, neurological imbalance and increased vascular tone are key factors contributing to illness and triggering episodes. Scalp exercises improve neural regulation and reduce vascular tension, helping restore normal blood pressure.
In cases of cerebral arteriosclerosis, the vessel lumen is narrow and lacks elasticity, resulting in sluggish blood flow. High blood pressure may lead to cerebral hemorrhage; low or normal blood pressure may result in cerebral thrombosis. Regular scalp exercises improve cerebral circulation.
For cerebral vascular spasm, symptoms such as paroxysmal dizziness, headache, unconsciousness, or hemiplegia may occur. Regular scalp exercises enhance the stability of cerebral nerves.
Regular scalp exercises can sharpen hearing and vision, refresh the mind, and, when combined with other physical activities, offer additional health benefits including blackening of hair.
Scalp Exercise Technique: Within 2–3 minutes, first use the sides of both thumbs' nails, naturally bent and aligned, to sweep firmly from front to back and from the midline outward to both sides, 10 times. Then, press firmly and sequentially with the tips of all ten fingers, 3 rounds. Next, scratch short distances back and forth with the nail tips, 3 rounds, scratching 5 times per area. Finally, gently stroke the scalp with the fingertips in the same order, 5 rounds. Perform this routine once in the morning after waking, once before bedtime, and optionally twice daily—mid-morning and afternoon. Additionally, it can be done at any time, such as before leaving home or after intense mental work for 1–2 hours. (Zeng Erqing)
