"Facial Acupuncture" for Facial Slimming
Nowadays, many methods exist for facial slimming. You can choose based on your condition, but don’t forget that traditional Chinese medicine’s "facial acupuncture" can also achieve facial "weight loss."
In facial acupuncture, stimulating facial and auricular acupoints restores vitality to tired, swollen faces. Simply perform once daily for one hour; visible results appear after two weeks. Note: Begin slowly, and once adapted, you may even combine with facial masks during acupuncture exercises.
Below are some key acupoints for facial slimming and their effects:
Hougu (Baihui): Enhances small intestine function
Located below the outer corner of the eye, at the lower cheek. Helps regulate small intestine function and aids absorption.
Yingxiang: Relieves shoulder pain and nasal congestion
Directly below the eyeball, beside the ala nasi. Not only reduces periorbital swelling and prevents skin laxity, but also alleviates shoulder pain.
Jiache: Eliminates cheek swelling
Slide upward along the jawline to find a depression—the acupoint. Effectively eliminates fat caused by excessive sugar intake.
Dicang: Suppresses appetite
Approximately 0.5 cm beside the mouth corners. Persistent high gastric temperature stimulates appetite; this point lowers gastric temperature and suppresses hunger.
Chengjiang: Reduces chest swelling
At the midpoint between the lower lip and chin. Regulates hormone secretion, maintains skin elasticity, and prevents facial sagging.
Tiantu: Promotes fluid elimination
Located inside the skin just below the throat. Stimulates thyroid function, boosts metabolism, and removes excess facial water.
Baihui: Prevents overeating and constipation
At the intersection of lines connecting the tops of both ears. Calms the spirit and prevents overeating.
Zanzhu: Alleviates eye fatigue and swelling
Depression beneath the eyebrow. Eye fatigue and headaches cause periorbital swelling; this point relieves discomfort.
Taiyang: Eliminates eye fatigue and swelling
On the side between the eye and eyebrow, about one finger-width backward, near the hairline. Promotes metabolism.
Chengqi: Prevents droopy eyelids
Directly below the eyeball, near the orbital bone. Since people with gastric ptosis tend to have droopy eyelids, this point enhances gastric function and prevents sagging.
