【Action Definition】
A technique involving gentle, rhythmic rotation using the thenar eminence, which moves the subcutaneous tissue beneath the area being treated.
【Technique Guidelines】
The practitioner should relax the shoulders, let the elbows hang down, keep the wrist relaxed and slightly bent or level. The thumb is adducted, the four fingers extended. Apply the thenar eminence to the treatment area, press down slightly using the elbow joint as a fulcrum, and rotate the forearm actively, thereby moving the subcutaneous tissue underneath.
【Technical Requirements】
1. Keep the wrist relaxed and movements flexible.
2. The forearm should drive the movement actively; the wrist must not perform active lateral movements.
3. The entire motion must be coordinated and rhythmic.
4. Frequency: 120–160 times per minute.
