1. Massage:
① Use the thumb and index-middle fingers to rub the sides of the throat 20–30 times.
② Use thumb and index fingers to pinch and tug the skin around the throat 20–30 times, until local redness and warmth are felt. Press and rub Yifeng (SJ17), Tiandu (CV22), and Hegu (LI4) points, 1 minute each. Perform once in the morning and once in the evening.
2. Moxibustion: Select He Gu (LI4), Qu Chi (LI11), and Wai Guan (SJ5), apply mild moxibustion or finger pressure, 5–20 minutes per session, applied whenever symptoms flare.
3. Blood-letting Therapy: Select the vein on the upper part of the ear. First gently rub the affected ear to induce local congestion, then locate the vein behind the ear. After routine disinfection, use a filiform needle to puncture the vein, squeeze out 3–5 drops of blood, then press the puncture site with an alcohol cotton ball. Perform once daily. On the second day, puncture below the previous site on the same ear. On the third day, return to the original site. This method is especially effective in children. Alternatively, use a three-edged needle to puncture Shaoshang (LU11), Neiting (ST44), and veins on the ear back, drawing several drops of blood daily.
