Friction of Chest and Back Enhances Immunity

🔑 Keywords: Other · Acupuncture and Massage
In daily life, people often enhance their immunity through medication or health supplements to reduce illness. However, drugs carry certain side effects that may harm health. Scientific research has proven that regular friction of the chest and back effectively enhances immunity.
Thymosin is a protein and peptide hormone secreted by the thymus gland located in the anterior thoracic cavity of humans and mammals, composed of amino acids. It enables T cells to acquire immune function. A certain concentration of thymosin exists in human blood, playing a role in maintaining immune function and resisting various diseases. The thymus develops during childhood but gradually atrophies with age, more severely in old age, leading to decreased blood thymosin levels and weakened resistance, making individuals more susceptible to disease. Scientific studies confirm that friction of the chest regulates the thymus's stress system, activating dormant thymic cells and delaying aging. Meanwhile, stimulation from chest rubbing triggers the production of various hormones in the body fluid system, acting on organs and tissues to boost immunity and play a positive role in anti-aging and longevity.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the spine is the location of the Du Meridian, and the Bladder Meridian (Foot-Taiyang) along both sides of the spine closely relates to the five zang and six fu organs. Frictioning the back stimulates and strengthens meridian qi, promotes blood and qi circulation, and harmonizes organ functions. The back subcutaneous layer contains a large number of highly active immune cells, which normally remain dormant. When rubbed, these "sleeping" immune cells become activated and travel throughout the body to detect and eliminate invading bacteria. Specific methods for frictioning chest and back:
1. Rub the chest: Place the right palm on the upper right breast, fingers slightly downward, apply moderate force to push toward the left lower waist, then use the left hand to push from the upper left breast diagonally to the right lower waist. Alternate hands, one up-and-down cycle counts as one, repeat 30 times, perform 3 times daily.
2. Rub the back: Place both hands on the curved areas beside the spine at the lower back, then apply moderate force to rub downward to the coccyx. Alternate hands, one up-and-down cycle counts as one, repeat 30 times, perform 3 times daily. The number of repetitions can be adjusted according to physical condition and tolerance, but consistency is key.
