Remedies for Insomnia 2

Fresh lily bulb 30g, glutinous rice 50g,适量 rock sugar. Peel the lily into petals, wash clean; cook glutinous rice as usual. When rice is nearly cooked, add lily and continue cooking until porridge is ready. Add rock sugar to taste. If fresh lily is unavailable, substitute with 10g dried lily, which can be boiled directly with rice to make porridge. Take twice daily, in the morning and evening, warm. Lily has long been used as a nourishing food and medicine. According to the Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing, it is classified as a superior herb. Various herbal texts record its health benefits as: "nourish the spleen (earth), calm the mind", "enhance mental vitality", "tonify and strengthen", "prevent aging and prolong life". Its nature and flavor are sweet and mild, possessing functions of tonifying the middle energizer, moistening the lungs, clearing the heart, and calming the spirit.<Insomnia>
