Homemade Flower Skincare Products
Spring has arrived, bringing blooming flowers. Colorful blossoms represent nature’s most vital essence. Beauty-conscious women may pick fresh flowers to make their own skincare products—fun, unique, and remarkably effective for skin health.
Rose Cleansing Water: In the morning, pick unopened roses, submerge them entirely in vinegar, let sit for one week, then mix with cold water to create a facial cleanser. Use twice daily. Over time, it effectively removes acne and blackheads, leaving skin smooth and soft.
Chrysanthemum Face Mask: Chrysanthemums contain abundant essential oils and pigments that inhibit melanin production and soften skin cells. Option 1: Cook chrysanthemums into porridge for internal consumption. Option 2: Mash chrysanthemums, mix with egg white, and apply to face—this brightens skin and reduces wrinkles.
Plum Blossom Face Mask: Plum blossoms are pure white and fragrant, with a bitter taste. Crush them, mix with a little honey, and apply to face for finer, whiter skin.
Jasmine Refreshing Toner: Submerge unopened jasmine flowers in boiled water, seal and let sit for several days, then add a small amount of medical alcohol. After washing face, pat onto skin to tighten pores and refresh complexion.
Lily Whitening Tonic: Place lily petals in a bottle, pour in medical alcohol, seal, and after one month, dilute with two times the amount of cold water. This tonic whitens skin, especially effective for oily skin.
Peach Blossom Skincare Tonic: Peach blossoms are excellent for beauty. They contain rich kaempferol and coumarin. Soak freshly opened blossoms in vinegar or low-alcohol grain wine, let sit until liquid turns slightly red. After washing face, mix a small amount of glycerin with the tonic and gently rub on face. It can also be used internally—excellent for delaying aging, giving a rosy, youthful glow.
