Massage Method for Waist Slimming
For women, the waist is the most visually striking area. A bulky waist makes it difficult to wear form-fitting clothes that highlight body curves. Yet the waist is rarely exercised, making it prone to fat accumulation. By properly stimulating meridians, acupoints, and muscles in the waist and back, waist fat can gradually be reduced.
1. Stimulating Back and Waist Acupoints
Waist acupoints include: Dai Mai (Conception Vessel) point, located at the tip of the 11th rib, level with the navel; Fu Jie (Abdominal Cleanse) point, located along the line from the nipple downward, 3 cm below the navel. Back acupoints include: Jing Men (Gate of Capital) point, at the tip of the 12th rib; Zhi Shi (Will Power) point, 5 cm below the second lumbar vertebra prominence.
Use thumb, index finger, or middle and ring fingers to press, knead, pinch, or squeeze these points and surrounding muscles.
2. Pinching and Massaging the Waist Belt Meridian
The Dai Mai meridian runs across the narrowest part of the waist. Regular massage here greatly helps reduce waist fat. Use both hands to pinch, knead, and lift the belt from front and back simultaneously.
3. Massaging Abdominal Muscles
Strong stimulation by massaging the rectus abdominis and oblique abdominal muscles can help slim the waist. The technique is identical to that used for massaging the waist belt.
