Apple Diet Method

The well-known British proverb “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is widely recognized. However, using apples for weight loss was popularized in Japan—the so-called “Three-Day Apple Diet” currently popular in Japan: no hunger, no medication, no cost. Simply eat only apples for three days until full, which can reduce 3 to 5 kilograms.
Five Reasons Why Apples Aid Weight Loss
① Reduced food intake allows digestive organs to rest. During dieting, eating less or periodically fasting enables the digestive system to rest, recover its normal function, and operate properly.
② Apple diet enhances kidney and gastrointestinal function, expelling internal waste and purifying blood. It helps eliminate stagnant blood (old, impure blood), accumulated feces (old stool), and water toxins (causes of edema), making the body healthier.

How to Follow the Apple Diet
① Eat only apples for three consecutive days—no other fruits or foods.
② Consume apples according to meal times or whenever hungry, until full.
③ Prefer red apples. Green apples are more acidic and may irritate the stomach.
④ Use fresh apples, thoroughly washed and peeled to avoid pesticide residues.
⑤ During the diet, the digestive system becomes sensitive; avoid caffeine-containing drinks like black tea, coffee, green tea, and oolong tea to prevent gastrointestinal discomfort.
⑥ On the fourth day, gradually resume normal diet—not all at once, especially avoiding snacks. For the first three days of refeeding, start with light foods such as congee or tofu, keeping meals bland and moderate.
The apple diet is essentially a thorough cleansing of the digestive system. If you are significantly overweight, achieving ideal body shape through one apple diet session is unrealistic. It’s best to repeat every one to two months until reaching your target weight.
