Disease Description and Treatment of Insomnia
Disease Description
Insomnia refers to difficulty falling asleep, frequent waking during sleep, or even complete inability to sleep. It commonly arises from external or internal pathogenic factors disrupting the functions of organs such as the heart, liver, gallbladder, spleen, stomach, and kidneys, leading to unrest of the spirit. Symptoms include palpitations, insomnia, dizziness, tinnitus, and in severe cases, five-palm heat, excessive sweating, etc. Modern medicine considers conditions like neurasthenia, hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis, anemia, hepatitis, menopausal syndrome, and certain psychiatric disorders—which present with insomnia—as reference points for treatment.
