Hypnotherapy for Insomnia
The earliest application of hypnosis as a therapeutic method was by Austrian physician Mesmer in 1775, who used magnets as tools and explained hypnosis via the mystical theory of animal magnetism. It wasn’t until 1841 that British surgeon James Braid provided a scientific explanation, describing hypnosis as a passive, sleep-like state induced by the therapist, borrowing the Greek word “hypnos” (meaning sleep) to coin the term “hypnosis,” which remains in use today.
This therapy leverages human suggestibility, using verbal suggestion to guide individuals into a hypnotic state resembling sleep. In this state, patients exhibit strong responsiveness to the therapist’s instructions, triggering profound psychological changes that reduce or eliminate symptoms and significantly improve health.
Using hypnotic language, patients are guided into a hypnotic state where consciousness becomes extremely narrow, and their ability to discern and judge stimuli significantly diminishes. Through suggestive language, patients’ moods are directed into highly pleasant scenarios, eliminating negative emotions and agitation. Headaches in neurotic patients (neurogenic headaches) are complex, typically presenting as heaviness or pressure in the head. Hypnotherapy offers unparalleled efficacy for such symptoms. It also shows remarkable results for anxiety states, tic disorders, neurasthenia, hypertension, colitis, coronary heart disease, asthma, and gastric ulcers—all psychosomatic conditions. For insomnia, hypnotherapy is the ideal indication.
However, performing hypnosis is not easy and requires specific conditions. It must be conducted by trained neuro-psychiatrists or psychologists, is costly, and limits patient access. To address this, we introduce a simplified hypnotherapy method—the Relaxation-Hypnosis CD. Patients need neither a doctor nor leave home; simply press a button at home to perform hypnotherapy. This method is widely used in our hospital, and consistent practice guarantees excellent outcomes.
During treatment, the room should have soft lighting, be quiet, and maintain moderate temperature. Have the patient sit comfortably on a sofa. First adjust breathing to be calm and rhythmic, then induce full-body muscle relaxation. Patients should rest quietly in a tranquil environment, lying comfortably on a sofa or bed for 10–15 minutes, clearing the mind, maintaining a relaxed state of body and mind. Each session lasts 30 minutes, performed once or twice daily, ideally in the afternoon or before bedtime. After completing hypnotherapy, patients naturally enter a fully relaxed sleep state, waking up mentally clear and physically refreshed. A typical course consists of 15–20 sessions.
The hypnosis CD is an effective way to relax and induce sleep. Listening to beautiful music and soothing language, you gradually relax, identify the root of your condition, learn how to relieve psychological stress, and achieve a peaceful mental state. At this moment, you feel impurities within you have been cleansed. You seem to become transparent, your entire body light and relaxed, eyelids gently closed, entering a state of oblivion—no longer burdened by heaviness. This sense of ease defies words. After approximately 25 minutes, consciousness becomes hazy, and you slowly drift into sleep.
If you are troubled by headaches, anxiety, or insomnia and cannot break free, the hypnosis CD is always ready to serve you. Say goodbye to exhausting days and welcome sweet dreams and a clear mind. Seize this opportunity—press the switch to your better life!
Indications: Hypnotherapy and hypnosis CDs are suitable for treating insomnia and functional headaches such as neurogenic headaches, tension headaches, migraines, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, depressive disorders, and neurasthenia.
