Simple Home Remedies for Serious Illnesses

As the saying goes, “a folk remedy can cure serious illness.” No one can guarantee avoiding minor ailments in daily life. Taking medicine or injections is often painful. Therefore, I’d like to share several simple remedies for common minor illnesses:
One: Yellow eel blood for facial paralysis
Apply yellow eel blood mixed with a small amount of musk to the face. Apply to the right side if left-side deviation, to the left side if right-side deviation.
Two: Cherries for thrush
Use ripe cherries, remove pits, extract 3–5ml of juice, place in a cup, steam over water. Cool, then administer 1–2 times daily, 1–2 doses per day, continue for 3–5 days.
Three: Motherwort for seborrheic dermatitis
Use 100g motherwort, boil in water for half an hour, collect 400ml of liquid. Take 200ml orally, mix the other 200ml with 1 teaspoon vinegar (~5ml). Soak sterile gauze in the mixture, apply warm compresses to affected areas (for scalp dermatitis, wash hair first, evenly pour the solution onto the scalp, gently massage, keep for 10–20 minutes, then rinse with clean water). Perform twice daily, 10–20 minutes per session.
Four: Coix seed for age spots
Use about 40g coix seed, cook or steam until soft, add appropriate sugar, eat in one sitting. Mild age spots may disappear within two months; severe cases can continue taking until effective. Use fresh chives, crush and extract juice, drink one glass daily in the morning. Regular consumption can normalize blood pressure.
Five: Lily and lotus seeds for night sweats
Lily 20g, lotus seeds 30g, rock sugar 30g. Wash lily and lotus seeds, place in a pot with adequate water, stew until soft and tender. Add rock sugar and dissolve. Consume once daily, continue for several days.
