Folk Remedies Using Tofu for Treatment

1. For Dysentery: Cut tofu into slices and fry with vinegar, consume twice daily.
2. For Hematochezia: Roast tofu residue until blackened, grind finely, and take 10–15 grams with red sugar water, twice daily.
3. For Swelling and Pain in Legs and Knees: Roast tofu residue until hot, apply directly to affected area.
4. For Scabies: Use 250 grams of tofu and 50 grams of sulfur, dry under sun, roast until yellow, then apply to affected area.
5. For Phlegm-Heat Asthma: Use 500 grams of tofu, hollow out a cavity, fill with 100 grams of red sugar and 100 grams of white sugar, place in a pot and boil for 25 minutes, consume entirely in one go, once daily for 3–4 days.
6. For Insufficient Milk After Childbirth: Use 150 grams of tofu and 50 grams of red sugar, add sufficient water, cook until red sugar dissolves, then add 50 ml of rice wine, consume entirely in one serving, once daily for 5 days.
7. For Postpartum Lochia: Use 60 grams of tofu crust, 1 sheet of tofu skin, 1 egg, and appropriate sugar, boil until cooked, consume one bowl daily, on an empty stomach every morning.
8. For Excessive Leucorrhea: Crush 10 peeled and seeded white ginkgo nuts, mix into soy milk, heat gently and drink, once daily for several days.
9. For Tuberculosis (Pulmonary): Use appropriate amounts of tofu, rock sugar, and fresh polygonatum (with roots), boil with water, filter out residue, retain liquid, add rock sugar for consumption. Alternatively, boil fresh polygonatum stems and leaves with tofu, consume one dose daily for 1–2 months as auxiliary treatment for pulmonary tuberculosis.
