Treatment Formula for Dampness-Blocking Eczema
Manifestation: Mostly subacute eczema, skin lesions appear dark, pale red, or not red, few blisters, but with abundant exudate; often accompanied by poor appetite, sallow complexion, loose stools, scanty urine, white greasy coating, and soft slippery pulse.
Treatment Principle: Strengthening spleen to remove dampness, nourishing blood to moisturize skin.
Formula: Modified Ershiwu Ling Decoction. Atractylodes macrocephala 15g, Atractylodes lancea 15g, Poria 20g, Alisma 15g, Dioscorea 15g, Coix seed 30g, Plantain herb 10g, Ze Xie 15g, Herba Siegesbeckiae 30g, Citrus peel 10g, Artemisia capillaris 10g, Glycyrrhiza 6g. Add Agastache rugosa and Eupatorium fortunei if appetite is poor; add Coix seed and Sophora flavescens if exudation is excessive; replace Atractylodes with Phellodendron amurense and talc if there are signs of heat such as yellow tongue coating.
