Tremella Soup
[Ingredients] Tremella 10 grams, one egg, rock sugar 60 grams, lard as needed.
[Preparation] Soak tremella in water, remove stems and impurities, rinse clean, add appropriate amount of water, bring to rapid boil, then simmer until tender. Add rock sugar and stir until dissolved. Whisk egg white with a little water, pour into pot, simmer gently until boiling, add a small amount of lard before removing from heat.
[Usage] Take in the morning or before bedtime.
[Effect] Moistens lungs, replenishes qi, nourishes yin, tonifies kidneys. Suitable for AIDS patients with lung deficiency cough, afternoon fever, night sweats, irritability, palpitations, insomnia, chronic diarrhea with loose stools.
[Comment] Polysaccharides in tremella can enhance immunity in AIDS patients; egg white, rock sugar, and lard balance flavor. This medicinal diet appears crystal-clear and elegant, visually appealing and deliciously sweet, soft, and melting in the mouth—classic health-preserving delicacy.
