Cornus Fruit Porridge
Recipe composition: 15–20 grams of Cornus fruit (dried), 2 liang (about 100 grams) of glutinous rice, and appropriate amount of sugar.
Therapeutic effects: Tonifies liver and kidney, consolidates essence, and stops sweating. Suitable for liver and kidney deficiency, dizziness, tinnitus, lower back soreness, enuresis, frequent urination, excessive sweating, and leukorrhea due to kidney deficiency.
Cooking method: Wash Cornus fruit, remove seeds, then boil with glutinous rice in a clay pot. When porridge is nearly ready, add sugar and simmer briefly.
Precautions: Take for 3–5 days as a course. Discontinue once symptoms are fully resolved, or continue intermittently afterward to consolidate effect. Avoid during fever or in cases of painful or difficult urination.
