Pharmacological Diet as Adjunctive Therapy for Senile Cataracts

Steamed Longan and Goji Berries
Effect: Nourishes blood, brightens eyes, tonifies liver and kidneys. Ingredients: 30g goji berries, 20g longan meat. Preparation: Place both ingredients in a bowl, add adequate water, steam until cooked. Usage: Consume in 2–3 portions.
Black Bean and Jujube Drink
Effect: Nourishes yin, tonifies kidneys, strengthens spleen. Ingredients: 60g black beans, 30g flat beans, 3 jujubes. Preparation: Stir-fry black beans and flat beans until fragrant, add sufficient water, boil together with jujubes until beans are soft. Usage: Eat beans and drink broth.

Chicken Liver and Shepherd’s Purse Soup
Effect: Calms liver, brightens eyes. Ingredients: 125g chicken liver, 125g shepherd’s purse, 1 egg, appropriate ginger, salt.
