Drink Carrot Soup for Diarrhea
Carrots have some therapeutic effect on diarrhea. Make carrot puree and add water to form soup. 500 grams of carrots yield 1000 ml of soup. Due to low caloric content (approximately 300 kcal per 1000 ml), very low fat (only 0.2%), alkaline pH, and presence of pectin, carrot soup helps solidify stools and adsorbs bacteria and toxins. Thus, using carrot soup early in diarrhea often yields good results.
Additionally, apples have fine fibers, minimal intestinal irritation, alkaline nature, pectin content for adsorption, tannins with astringent properties, and low calories and fat—all aligning with principles for treating diarrhea. To prepare, wash apples, cut in half, gently scrape apple flesh into puree with a spoon, feeding gradually to children.
