Side-Fruit Wine (Tonify Qi and Blood)
[Formula] Raw side-fruit (Zi), fresh ginger, each 150 grams; Salvia miltiorrhiza, Achyranthes root, Nanmu (roasted), Angelica pubescens (roasted), each 180 grams; crushed gold tooth, sulfur stone, raw stone material (dried, 240 grams), each 500 grams; herb solution, raw Evodia rutaecarpa, dried Rehmannia (dried, 240 grams), each 300 grams; Saposhnikovia divaricata, Poria cocos, each 120 grams; Acanthopanax bark, Coix seed, each 30 grams; roasted Herba Pseudocarpus, Sichuan pepper juice, each 15 grams; cinnamon heart, raw Aconite (raw), ginseng, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Angelica sinensis, white Atractylodes, fine cinnamon, each 60 grams; white wine 9000–10000 milliliters.
[Preparation] Chop the first 25 herbs into small pieces, place in cloth bag, put into container, add white wine, seal, soak for 7 days, filter off residue, ready for use.
[Function] Tonify qi and blood, expel wind-dampness, warm meridians, dispel cold.
[Indication] Foot qi: symptoms recur in spring and summer, swelling subsides in autumn, but persistent leg weakness, inability to flex or extend feet, numbness of soles, finger swelling, inability to bend or stretch, limbs and waist back all impaired.
[Usage] Oral administration. Take 10 milliliters each time, adjust dosage according to tolerance, two to three times daily.
[Note] Quoted from "Wai Tai Mi Yao." Women should avoid stone materials; when taking this wine, acupuncture at Zusanli, Fengshi, Futou points is recommended to release toxic energy. Avoid pork, cold water, vinegar, raw scallions, peach, plum, quail meat, raw vegetables, and wormwood.
