Gu Chun Pian Fang Yao Jiu
[Drug Composition] Fresh tender mulberry branch, soybean sprout (black soybeans may also be used), fresh coix seed, wood apple seed (i.e., red fruit of Ten Great Merits, black ones called ji mu zi, also usable; if unavailable, use leaves or southern waxberry fruit), each four liang; honeysuckle, Acanthopanax bark, papaya, silkworm droppings, each two liang; Phellodendron amurense, pine nut kernel, each one liang
[Function and Indications] Treats wind-cold-damp invading meridians, causing limb arthralgia and discomfort, commonly known as "wind disease," effective regardless of duration—new or old cases.
[Dosage and Administration] Drink one or two cups daily; mild cases recover after consuming one or two jin.
[Preparation Method] The ten ingredients are placed in a silk bag, sewn shut, combined with ten jin of good distilled liquor and four liang of raw white honey, packed into a jar, sealed tightly and secured. Steam over boiling water for the time it takes to burn three incense sticks, then place on the ground for seven days—ready to use.
