Massaging the Sole Can Cure All Illnesses

🔑 Keywords: Other · Acupuncture and Tuina
Massaging the soles enhances blood circulation, regulates internal organs, unblocks meridians, boosts metabolism, thus strengthening the body and eliminating pathogens.
The soles of the feet are densely packed with blood vessels, leading scientists to call them the "second heart" of the human body. The Yongquan acupoint on the sole is the starting point of the Kidney Meridian. Massaging this point nourishes yin, strengthens the kidneys, and benefits all five viscera and six bowels. Regularly massaging the soles activates internal kidney energy, strengthens the body, prevents premature aging, and contributes to longevity. Elderly people who regularly massage their soles can prevent numbness in legs and feet, weakness in movement, and cold sensations in the soles.
When massaging the soles, also move the toes frequently. Traditional Chinese medicine holds that the big toe is a pathway for the Liver and Lung meridians. Frequently moving the big toe helps soothe the liver, strengthen the spleen, stimulate appetite, and provides auxiliary benefits for liver and spleen enlargement. The fourth toe belongs to the Gallbladder meridian; massaging it helps prevent constipation and rib pain. Regularly massaging the soles and toes has certain therapeutic or supportive effects for conditions such as neurasthenia, chronic joint stiffness and cramps in knees and ankles, kidney deficiency, lower back and leg weakness, psychogenic impotence, insomnia, chronic bronchitis, cyclic migraines, and renal dysfunction.
Proper technique is essential; otherwise, the intended health benefits will not be achieved. After soaking your feet in warm water every night, sit on the bed with your legs bent and raised onto the other leg, turning the soles inward. Use your right hand to massage the left sole, and your left hand to massage the right sole, rotating circularly until the area turns red and feels warm.
